Let the wicked forsake their way, and the unrighteous their thoughts; let them return to the Lord, that he may have mercy on them, and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. Isaiah 55:7
I like the image of a merciful and forgiving God. No matter what our problems may be we may ask for forgiveness and guidance from God. As God forgives us, we should also forgive others. A forgiving and merciful God can see us through many problems. Too often we seek forgiveness for ourselves when we should be giving forgiveness to others.

God, we are thankful for your mercy toward us. Fill us with such a spirit of love and thankfulness and mercy, that we may forgive one another. Amen.
