You will not fear the terror of the night, or the arrow that flies by day, or the pestilence that stalks in darkness, or the destruction that wastes at noonday. Psalm 91:5-6
Fear.....fear can be so many things: , complex, powerful, paralyzing. all have fears, and they have changed and evolved over time. The image of God as a protector resonates through this passage. It is similar to how parents comfort a child when they are filled with fears. a parent I say, "Don't worry, keep trying, do your best and you will be amazed at what you can do." With God as our protector, giving us the same message, I think we will be amazed at what we can do.
