Thursday, March 25, 2010 ~ Thirty-second Day of Lent

O give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his steadfast love endures forever! Psalm 118:1

How many times has God rescued you from seemingly impossible situations? How many times has God provided for you when there was no hope? Dear friends, I cannot count the numerous times God has rescued me from precarious situations and set me on my path after countless mistakes, failures, and heartaches. David faced a great deal of difficulty throughout his life, however, these events allowed him to experience the goodness of God. David was full of God’s goodness when he wrote this psalm and he calls others to acknowledge God’s love from their own experiences. During this season of Lent, let us reflect on the love and mercy God has shown us. Let us praise God for his many blessings and most importantly, our salvation, Jesus Christ.
