But while he was still far off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion; he ran and put his arms around him and kissed him. Luke 15:20

Jesus' earthly ministry was concerned with teaching people about God's love.Like any great teacher,He used stories to help His listeners understand great principles.His stories were about regular people with desires, hopes, dreams and emotions universally shared.So what great principle can we learn and meditate on during this Lenten season.I believe it is God the Father's love which we can never deserve. We cannot do enough good to earn it.I believe that we must accept His love and return it by striving to be more like Jesus, God's Son, in all of our endeavors and relationships.

Dear God, help us be more like Jesus that we might reflect your love in our own lives and in the world. Amen.
